The WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt supports municipalities and communities in setting up suitable welcoming structures for people returning to, and people interested in moving to, Saxony-Anhalt from other parts of Germany and from abroad and in making these structures known. For many newcomers, especially families, the decision to move somewhere depends on the welcoming culture and cultural life, and, last but not least, on the local infrastructure. Together we analyse in discussions which areas of potential exist or are still undiscovered, which need to be expanded or emphasised more strongly. A good welcoming culture is not only dependent on investments, but rather also on people who show an open attitude.
