Geneva Refugee Convention
The Geneva Refugee Convention (“Geneva Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees”) is a treaty between 143 member states of the United Nations. All states that have signed the agreement commit themselves to the protection of refugees. The question of who is considered a refugee and what rights and obligations the person is entitled to is defined in the treaty.
