9th National Network Meeting of the Welcome Centers

On 15.06.2023 the 9th Federal Network Meeting of the Welcome Centers took place. The WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt was also on site in Chemnitz to participate in the expert exchange. A total of 150 people from over 50 Welcome Centers took part in the event organized by ZEFAS – Zentrum für Fachkräftesicherung und Gute Arbeit.

Kerstin Mogdans, Coordinator of the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt, found the exchange with the other Welcome Centers from different regions very interesting and was particularly pleased about the many inputs and the exciting exchange. She was able to compare the status of the other contact points and where the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt stands in comparison. She will incorporate the new impulses into her everyday work.

A major area of responsibility for all contact points for the integration process has proven to be the sensitization of companies to the topic of foreign qualified specialists. Above all, the welcoming culture in companies and also the fact that diversity is allowed and lived are supra-regional concerns that should be brought into particular focus.

The event was a complete success and will be repeated next year in the joint organization of the Welcome Centers Kiel and Hamburg.
