Intercultural Week is taking place for the 49th time nationwide this year from 22 to 29 September. Many different events are also being organised in Saxony-Anhalt. For example in the following towns and districts:

The WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt participates at three locations and online:

On 23 September 2024, our regional consultants will take part in a business breakfast in Salzwedel from 08:30 to 15:00 on the topic: Working with foreign applicants – ‘FROM APPLICANT TO COLLEAGUE’. Our colleagues from Fachkraft im Fokus will give a presentation on how the process of integrating foreign qualified specialists into a company can be successfully organised. Further presentations on the topic will be given by colleagues from KAUSA and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. From 12:30 to 15:00, you will then have the opportunity to talk in person with the advisors and other contact persons from the Employment Agency, the Job Centre and the IQ Recognition Advisory Service.

On 25 September 2024, the WelcomeCentre Saxony-Anhalt invites you to an advice day on the topic of ‘Working with foreign applicants’ from 09:00 to 17:00 in Stendal (BIC Haus II, Arneburger Straße 24). Our colleagues will show how the process of integrating foreign qualified specialists into a company can be successfully organised. To avoid waiting times, please make an appointment in advance: kolodzig(at)fachkraft-im-fokus(dot)de.

Our regional advisors Nataliya Detka and Marion Hilbert are organising an advisor day on the topic of career entry at the premises of the state initiative Fachkraft im Fokus in Magdeburg. The dates will be announced shortly, all interested parties are welcome to attend.

On 1 October 2024, we are organising an online seminar on ‘Dealing with prejudice and everyday racism’ from 14:00 to 16:00. Communication and diversity trainer Gabriele Maria Gerlach will explain how prejudice and everyday racism arise and provide participants with communicative methods for dealing with them. Click here to register for the event.

We are looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors and interesting conversations! All offers are free of charge.

To get you in the mood, we recommend our Information library, where you can find information on various intercultural topics, such as intercultural communication or dealing with prejudice.
