The "Returnee Day", an annual event for companies and regions in Saxony-Anhalt, has proven itself as a special advertising campaign and information opportunity for people interested in moving to Saxony-Anhalt, returnees with their families and people who want to reorient themselves on the labour market! Numerous face-to-face events took place again on 27 December 2023: Stendal, Quedlinburg, Staßfurt, Dessau-Roßlau, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Wittenberg, Osterfeld and Sangerhausen took part in the initiative.
The respective organisers once again considered the campaign a success, even though the number of visitors was slightly down on previous years in some regions. In Stendal and Quedlinburg, however, the organisers were pleased that the event was more popular than in the past. Visitors who were on site showed a clear interest in the programme and had promising discussions with the companies. Accordingly, many of the companies signalled that they were very satisfied with the results and would be taking part in the campaign again in the future.
The Landesinitiative Fachkraft im Fokus – WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt was on site in most regions and also held many good discussions. The focus was on topics such as reorientation on the labour market, career opportunities, job hunting, relocation and all associated aspects such as housing, relocation and childcare.
As the WelcomeCentre of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, we once again took part in this day with our own nationwide online campaign. Using a TEAMS video chat, interested people were able to contact the advisors directly and clarify relevant questions about moving to or returning to Saxony-Anhalt. This offer was very well received.
The annual return initiatives in the various regions are a particular motivation to find out about local conditions and support structures. The organisers' message is therefore: everyone will be there again on 27 December 2024!
