What requirements must be met in order to have access to the Opportunity Residence Right ("Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht") according to § 104c Residence Act? When is the best time to apply for this residence title? And how does the transition between the Opportunity Residence Right and other residence titles work? The online seminar of the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt on 09 August 2023 focused on these and other questions. Thomas Stöckl, lawyer and specialist lawyer for migration law, presented legal principles, central problem areas and relevant case law and gave numerous practical tips and recommendations for action for the counselling work of those present. Various practical cases were also discussed.
